Tuba/Euphonium Open House + Master Class

Are you interested in studying with Scott?

Come to an online Open House + Master Class event to meet Scott and learn more about his teaching! At these events, Scott will offer information about his tuba/euphonium openings in the various colleges where he is on faculty, insight into each school’s programs and admissions process, and tips on how best to prepare for auditions.

Each event will feature an info session and a master class - open for any prospective student to play - for you to see him in action. You will also get to chat with some of his current students to hear what it’s like to study with him and an insider’s perspective on the schools they are attending.

As is always the case with Scott, he will also talk about creative career development and entrepreneurship. He will offer advice on how to utilize your college years to prepare for the ‘real life’ after school. With smart and creative planning, you will have a great life in music, in college and beyond.

For Fall 2021, Scott will be accepting new students at the following schools:

Carthage College (Kenosha, WI)

DePaul University (Chicago, IL)

Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, IL)

University of Illinois at Chicago

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

When are these wonderful open house events?

There are 3 date options. Come to one or two or all three!

Thursday, October 29, 2020 / 7:00-8:30pm Central Time
Wednesday, November 11, 2020 / 4:00-5:30pm Central Time
Saturday, December 5, 2020 / 1:00-2:30 pm Central Time

Each event will begin with a 30-minute information session followed by a 60-minute master class. The master class is open for any prospective student to perform. You can sign up to play via the registration form below. At the end of the event, there will be an optional Q&A with Scott for continued conversation.

We’ll meet on Zoom. Meeting links will be sent to registered attendees a few days before each event.

Just in case you are wondering, there is no cost to attending the open house.
